In the AL-80BXCE linear the Eimac 3-500Z is run with a new instantaneous bias circuit. This means that even between syllables there is no current drawn. The result is high average power levels, much cooler running and longer valve life. Gives you up to 1,000W output from a desktop linear that is well within the budget of many enthusiasts. A dynamic ALC circuit adds to the efficiency and allows you to control the RF output from your linear! The AL-82BXCE linear is designed to give you years of trouble free service. Two bias settings allow either high efficiency RTTY and CW operation at 1,500W of output at nearly 70% plate efficiency or low distortion 1,500W SSB, SSTV or AM output. The cooling system keeps the valve and components safely below the manufacturer’s ratings. The filament supply has inrush current limiting to ensure maximum valve life.

What makes the AL-1200 stand out from other linear amplifiers? The answer is a super heavy duty power supply. The heart of the AL-1200 power supply is a highly efficient Peter Dahl tape wound hypersil transformer. Also high current, full height computer grade capacitors with screw-on terminals are used along with wire wound resistors. The diode rectifiers are rated at 200A, so an accidental short of the high voltage supply will not blow these diodes. The AL-1200XCE uses one 3CX1200A7 ceramic valve, which is Eimac’s toughest ceramic transmitting valve making this one of the toughest linears around.
The AL-1500XCE linear amplifier delivers 1500W CW output with only 65W drive. The AL-1500 also features time delay starting to protect the 3CX1500/8877 valve and its components and over-current protection to remove the drive if mistuned. A commercial grade blower provides quiet operation at full rated airflow to maximise valve life.
Get up to 500W PEP output from this solid state compact unit measuring 90 x 229 x 380mm. Directly driven from any 100W transceiver, and the solid state design means no tuning is necesssary and there is almost six times the power advantage.The unit can be remotely controlled for boot mounting with the supplied ALS-500RC remote controller.
