The CLRSPKR is a small loudspeaker containing a ClearSpeech® adaptive noise reduction circuit and audio amplifier. It is ideal for mobile radio operation. Noise reduction is superb. The DSP passes the voice and CW sounds, while attenuating noise, such as hum, hiss, whistles, static. It effectively removes heterodynes, ignition noise, lightning crashes, power line noise, and hum. The process is dynamic and changes with the interference and the signal, but the effect is rewarding. Mobile voice operation is fun without all that background noise. The DSP recognizes the intermittent nature of CW and allows it to pass noise free.
The CLRSPKR may be mounted in any convenient location. The bracket permits tilt aiming. Its audio cable plugs into the speaker output on the radio. Connect the powerpoles to any convenient 12V supply. The 1.8m cables may be lengthened with extensions, if needed.
The CLRSPKR works well in the home station too. There is a 3.5mm phone jack on the back for connection to an external 8 or 4 Ohm loudspeaker. This disconnects the internal speaker.
In addition to the on-board echo and noise cancellation features, the bhi ENC-1 board provides a Residual Echo Suppression Circuit (RESC) to suppress residual echo which may occur in cases of non linearity in the audio path or if the microphone and speaker of a hands free application are very close together.
The bhi 'Noise Away' ANEM (Amplified Noise Elimination Module) is a compact, easy to use, stylish in-line solution to noise and interference problems in voice/radio communications. Using unique fully adaptive DSP noise cancellation technology, unwanted noise and interference is removed to leave clear speech with virtually no distortion of the voice signal.
The ANEM simply fits in-line between the communications equipment and the loudspeaker. It is suitable for a variety of applications but is particularly useful for improving voice quality in radio communications, removing unwanted noise and interference to give much improved speech intelligibility across all bands (SSB, UHF, VHF, HF, AM and FM).
This ANEM sits nicely within bhi's range of DSP noise cancellation products and is suited to those customers who prefer simple controls and operation. It also offers a solution for those customers who do want to modify their existing extension speaker or radio to fit the NEDSP1062-KBD amplified DSP PCB module inside.
The ANEM is easy to set up and its functions are microprocessor controlled, enabling simple operation via two pushbuttons: power on/off audio bypass and DSP filter on/off. 4 or 8 levels of noise cancellation are selectable via the pushbuttons on power up, the last selected filter level remaining in the memory when the unit is switched off. The ANEM comes boxed with a Fused DC power lead (2.1mm) and a 3.5mm mono plug lead 1.2m long, plus full operating instructions. Audio adapters are available to suit different connections, and Velcro strips are provided for mounting the module in a suitable position on your extension speaker or radio equipment.
This is a combined speaker and DSP unit that can be used with any receiver or transceiver. It offers 8 filter settings selected via a dip switch on the back and a top mounted on/off switch to select the DSP in and out of circuit. The power on/off switch removes power from the speaker and bypasses the audio. This allows the speaker to be used as a normal extension speaker without DSP.
The unit offers dramatic noise reduction enabling weak signals to be cleaned up by removing most of the noise, audio hetrodynes are also greatly reduced. DX and weak signals can sound just like locals. It is equally great for mobile use by reducing noise and making speech clearer. And as a result of bhi's unique DSP noise cancelling technology the voice quality is superb with virtually no distortion even when there are high levels of noise present.
The NEIM1031 In-line Noise Eliminating Module incorporates bhi's unique fully adaptive DSP noise cancelling technology to remove unwanted background noise and interference from speech, with virtually no distortion of the voice, even when there are high levels of noise present. Audio hetrodynes are also greatly reduced. It has 8 switchable levels of noise cancellation to allow the user to optimise the unit for their level of noise and interference. The NEIM1031 also has line level inputs and outputs for audio voice recordings and commercial applications. The unit is designed to be easily connected into the audio path such as a transceiver or receiver and will improve the intelligibility and clarity of speech. bhi have also made available a horizontal label as an optional extra, that can easily be fitted (1031-108D).
A small PCB module allows the bhi noise cancellation technology to be fitted into existing equipment i.e. FT-817, TS-50 etc. Different DSP levels are selected with a single button, along with visual and audible indication of which level has been selected. Controls are provided onboard to set the input and output levels from the DSP, to allow the matching of signal levels.
Fitting the NEDSP-1061-KBD to a rig requires a couple of small holes which need to be drilled into the case for the mini switch and LED.
A small PCB module that is simply inserted into the loudspeaker path. Different DSP levels are selected using a small keyboard to operate the module's functions. The NEDSP-1062-KBD is easy to install into an existing speaker. Full mounting kit included, including insulating rubbers and fixing screw and label kit. Complete with 2.1mm power connector.
The NEIS enables clear voice communications in noisy environments. Using Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, unwanted noise and interference picked up in the communication, is removed from the signal to leave clear speech.
It can be used in a wide range of noisy applications, where the sounds of fans, motors, engines, air-conditioning, traffic etc. give rise to poor voice communications. The system is particularly useful for improving voice quality in machine room communications.
This is a combined speaker and DSP unit that can be used with any receiver or transceiver and is the lower price PLUG & GO model to the NES10-2. The unit offers the same dramatic noise reduction which enables weak signals to be cleaned up by removing most of the noise, audio hetrodynes are also greatly reduced. And as a result of bhi's unique DSP noise cancelling technology the voice quality is superb with virtually no distortion even when there are high levels of noise present. Without the extra features of the NES10-2. DX and weak signals can sound just like locals. It is more suited for fixed channel radio communications.
A small PCB module allows the bhi adaptive noise cancellation technology to be retro fitted into existing equipment, or fitted into new equipment. Different DSP levels are selected either by preset or remotely. Controls are provided to set the input and output levels from the DSP, to allow the matching of signal levels. Another innovation is the ability to mount the PCB either vertically or horizontally.
Fitting the NEDSP-1061-PCB to a rig should only be carried out by an engineer.
A small PCB module that is simply inserted into the loudspeaker path. Different DSP levels are selected using a small keyboard to operate the module's functions. The NEDSP-1062-PCB is for commercial use.
A small PCB module allows the bhi noise cancellation technology to be fitted into most Icom PMR radios. Selection is by a single button normally chosen from the front panel. Noise level is set at 6, this is adjustable by links on the module.
Fitting the NNTDSP.001 requires modification to the audio path which needs to be cut. Programming software is set up to enable OPT1, on one of the assignable buttons such as P0 to P3 on the mobile or a suitable button on a handportable.
Improved ADSP Speaker now with two switches you can now select from three modes of operation - no noise reduction - the original ADSP - or the new ADSP2 noise reduction mode which provides up to 26dB of noise reduction within the passband.
The ADSP circuitry is cleverly fitted into a smart communications speaker, simple to use it will literally enhance any mobile VHF/UHF communications. All you need to provide is 12V DC and connect it to your audio output.
SGC pioneered Automatic Digital Signal Processing (ADSP) more than 10 years ago. Internal IF based DSP is incapable of matching the performance of ADSP2 because it must devote some processor time to other tasks. ADSP2 devotes all of its time to spectral noise reduction, yielding unprecedented performance exceeding that available in top-of-the-line transceivers.
SGC have tested ADSP2 in many popular transceivers, including small portable units, and significant improvements in noise rejection have been found on every unit evaluated. The ADSP2 board adds two levels of ADSP processing and three narrow band filters which gives the user significant flexibility in choosing the processing most appropriate to the operating conditions.
ADSP2 is supplied in two versions. One for low level audio power ADSP-2 Board Low (70-11) and the ADSP-2 Board High (70-12) for high level audio power installation. Both versions contain full instructions and identify the relevant wire connections. They can be installed by the user or by a dealer.
