The MFJ-4116 Bias-Tee is ideal for running 50 Ohm coax to distant devices allowing them to be placed anywhere regardless of power availability. It operates on frequencies ranging from 1 to 60MHz. Two Bias-Tee's are used one to inject the RF signal and DC voltage onto the coaxial line. At the terminating end the DC voltage is then separated from the RF signal by another MFJ-4116. Any standard 2.1mm 1 to 50V DC 1A power adaptor will supply power to the device.

Several MFJ products have a built-in Bias Tee, so the DC / RF coaxial cable can be directly connected to them as well.

The MFJ-4117 is equipped with a DC switch to turn the remote equipment on and off.
