The GVN-53 is a Black-box GPS navigation system that is designed to integrate with a vehicle's audio/video entertainment system, allowing a factory or aftermarket onboard screen to function much like a StreetPilot car naviagtion system.
Users can look up and route directly to specific addresses or points of interest - such as restaurants, hotels, petrol station, retail shops or ATMs - while viewing their exact location on an electronic moving map. A unique "spoken text" voice prompt capability can be used to identify turns by street name. These turn-by-turn voice cues can be amplified through the car audio system's speakers, with map graphics shown through the vehicle's video display. The unit comes preloaded with detailed street mapping of all of Europe.
The GVN-53 is operated with the included RF remote control or when connected to a display with touch scree technology. The GVN-53 will simultaneously output RGB plus composite video; this ability will allow cyustomers to choose either video output.
