This is the latest mobile/base station to emerge from the AOR factory and has been enhanced in several areas. The upper frequency range has been extended to 3000MHz (3GHz), lower band senisitivity has been increased (now covering down to 100kHz). Extra enhancements to SW performance by the addition of further bandpass filters and a selection of alternative IF filters. Mini-Circuits RMS1 / RMS2 mixers have been employed with active SPM antenna switching devices (not diode-switching). The AR-8600Mk2 will accept slot cards, with all five cards fitted at once if required. For Airband enthusiasts the receiver includes 8.33kHz channel steps correctly supported i.e eight-and-one- third, 33, 66, 00. An RS232 port is provided for PC access and a wideband 10.7MHz output is provided for use with the SDU5500 spectrum display unit. The receiver will be shipped with a telescopic whip antenna, MW bar aerial, DC lead and operating manual. All optional products for the AR-8600 are compatible with the Mk-2 version. (AVAILABLE SHORTLY)

The AR-ONE is the new high performance wide band receiver from AOR with an extended frequency range of 3.3GHz. Surveillance operations are enhanced. Monitoring multiple frequencies is easier and faster, and computer control gives you maximum flexibility required these days for real-time monitoring. This will be of special interest to commercial and Government agencies. Although housed in a similar case to the AR-8600, it is NOT an AR-8600 with performance and features closer to those of the AR-5000 but offering even higher RF performance. It is designed to support computer controlled operation, and up to 99 receivers can be controlled by a single PC. It is very versatile and can be used for mobile or fixed monitoring operations. Listed at £3599.00.

The AR7030 communications receiver despite its small size and seemingly simple controls has features and performance normally associated with larger commercial receivers. It has been awarded a five star rating by Radio Nederlands and Table-top Receiver of the Year award 1996/97 by the World Radio TV Handbook. It has also been awarded five stars by Passport to World Band Radio.
The AR7030 Plus has been designed for those who want the 'edge'. All aspects of performance have been applied making excellent into the the ultimate. Awarded five stars by both the authoritative Passport to World Band Radio and the World Radio & TV Handbook.
The IC-R9500 is the eagerly awaited professional grade wideband base station receiver that takes over from the IC-R9000/L. It covers a wide 0.005 to 3335MHz range and features technology that is based on and surpasses the IC-7800. It easily outperforms many of the other professional receivers on the market, and even some lab-grade measuring receivers in terms of quality and performance. It is expected to be popular not only with the serious receiver enthusiast but government organisations and surveillance bodies as well INFO
The IC-R8500 is a high specification communications receiver covering a wide frequency range continuously from 0.1 to 2000MHz. It's ideal for the radio amateur or shortwave listener at an affordable price.
The NRD-545 DSP receiver has all the quality expected from JRC. As well as a fine front-end performance it is further enhanced by integral DSP functions. The digital processing is performed by a special DSP microprocessor performs signal detection in all the modes. Other features include an RTTY demodulator, Exalted Carrier Selectable Sideband and remote control by PC. The digital IF filter, one of the DSP features, provides sharper characteristics than a crystal filter, thus allowing continuous bandwidth adjustment. All traditional crystal and mechanical filters that have previously determined the selectivity characteristics of receivers have been eliminated from this DSP receiver.
The R30CC SW receiver covers 100kHz to 30MHz with twin Collins filters. An innovative tuning control allows different rates of steps which makes it easy to tune. The LCD frequency readout with back illumination can be switched ON/OFF via a switch on the back panel. The S-meter uses a moving coil meter. There is provision for muting on the receiver, and a switchable 12V source is available for powering a masthead preamplifier or active antenna. A 1/4in headphone jack is located conveniently on the front panel, with an external speaker jack on the rear panel as well as a phono line audio. CW is received using either the USB or LSB modes. Overall a very presentable receiver, with a mute provision for use with a separate transmitter - not always catered for these days.
It would be difficult not to be impressed with the brand new VR-5000 scanning receiver with its large informative display, impressive scanning capabilities and professional features. This is a very sensitive receiver and one that is a joy to operate. It acquits itself over the entire frequency range stretching from 100kHz to 24449.99998MHz. This is more than adequate to cover every conceivable radio transmission. The front panel ergonomics and well laid out controls show how this design has derived so many operator friendly features from other mainline Yaesu models.
