The BB-2M HF wideband mobile antenna cover 7 to 30MHz and also 50 to 54MHz. Because of its size, a large size mount is recommended.
The BB-2M is completely adjustment free, but it may be necessary to use an atenna tuner to obtain a low SWR reading.
The whip element is tiltable, in order to keep the antenna on thje vehicle and not catch the whip on garage doors etc.
A 4- band mobile antenna designed especially for the FT-8900 quad band mobile. Extremely well constructed as you would expect from Diamond. It has a spring loaded base enabling a quick reduction in height for low roofs - garages, car parks and barriers. Supplied with a mini stub section and allen key. Fits a mobile base with SO-239 connection (not supplied).
This antenna covers 6 HF bands from 7MHz to 28MHz. The antenna has a top fibre glass whip section that can be quickly fine tuned up and down and locked without a special tool. Band changing is effected in seconds by changing a shorting link. This is an ideal antenna for HF work and can be mounted on a standard SO-239 mobile mount. This mobile antenna is designed to offer you coverage on the 7 popular bands from 7MHz to 430MHz (14MHz optional). No manual band switching is required to the antenna. Just change bands on your transceiver and you are ready to go. The antenna functions as a shortened 1/4 wave on the HF bands up to 50MHz, a 1/2 wave on 144MHz and 2 x 5/8th on 70cms. It’s an ideal companion for a wide range of radios and simply requires one of the standard SO-239 mounts to to complete the car installation. Add-on elements HVC-14CX (10/14MHz) & HVC-24CX (18/18MHz) optionals for HV-7CX.
This is the antenna that features on Icom’s own advertising brochure in conjunction with the IC-703. Covering 7MHz - 28MHz, it can be used with a wide range of transceivers for portable work. It has a standard PL-259 base, so can be mounted on any SO-239 base. The PL-259 can be changed to a right angle configuration and locked into position. This is particualrly convenient for coming out of the back of the IC-703 or similar transceiver. Diamond also supply a pair of 5m radials that can be attached to provide a counterpoise - something that is normally essential for 1/4 wave vertical antenna operation.
