The Diamond HF-80FX is a helical base loaded antenna designed to provided optimum match with a typical mobile installation. Needless to say they exhibit typical Japanese engineering and the upper whip has extra flexibility to guard against hitting overhead obstructions. The total maximum height is 1.4m and the upper resonator whip has a clutch adjustment point making it very easy to set the resonance.
