The LWC-4 Antenna Coupler is basically a magnetic balun encased in a plastic housing. It is designed to enable the traditional long-wire antenna to be used in conjunction with a coaxial cable downlead.
The end of the antenna wire enters through a hole in the base of the box protected by a grommet and the coaxial cable also enters the base of the box but via a waterproof gland. The whole assembly is hung, by two sturdy hooks, to either the antenna wire or to its supporting halyard.
