A complete active aerial that has design features you will not find even on expensive assembled varieties. RF gain control and two independent amplifiers. Dual-gate MOSFET with exceptional low noise and 2SC2570 microwave device for the best performance on VHF and above. Supplied with matching case & knob set
This kit once built allows you to monitor the entire aircraft band without tuning. This is done by using a passive design which means that it does not have any local oscillators, thus it can be used on aircraft without generating any interference to the pilot etc.. Its great for airshows, just listen to the air traffic, even to unknown frequencies. Multiple aircraft signals can be heard simultaneously with the strongest one the loudest which invariably will be the closest one to you. All without any tuning or looking up frequencies. The receiver is in a compact case complete with a belt clip. Just plug in the provided earbuds or your favourite pair of headhones into the receiver. A squelch control is also included to mute background noise and interference. Reviewed in 'Monitoring Times' November 2006 issue and 'Radio User' May 2007.
Tune into the exciting world of aviation. Listen to the airliners, business jets and private aircraft as they cross the skies above you. Youll be able to hear aircraft up to 100 miles away at times. The AR-1 features smooth varactor tuning of the entire civil airband. Circuit is based on the superhet with AGC and squelch included.
Supplied with matching case & knob kit.
This kit makes is a great project for novices or experienced contructors alike. It can be used with any of the modern solid state transceivers. Speeds are adjustable from 5 to 50 WPM from the front panel with an internal coarse speed control. All you need is to add a paddle key. The unit will happily drive a small speaker and a stereo socket is provided for the paddle.
Rejuvenate and condition your Ni-Cads. Unique discharge before charge circuitry eliminates memory effect. Quick charge switches to top-off automatically at optimum point in charge cycle. Switch-mode regulator controls constant current charge while being monitored by a negative delta-V system that cuts off the fast charge at the exact point of full charge.
Three sensor EGC monitor kit. Safe to use runs on 9V DC. Output available for oscillosope showing traditional style ECG/EKG waveforms.
Note: This is not a medical device, it is intended for hobbyist usage only!
The FR-1 is ideal for the novice. It builds into a high performance FM broadcast receiver that is ideal for bedside or study use. Supplied with matching case & knob set

The LB-56C is ideal for secure communications using infrared. It easily transmits through windows and the 10m range can be extended by using a simple lens. The transmitter can use any type of microphone, and the receiver will drive any loudspeaker or earphone. Supplied with matching case & knob set.
This will save you hours taken up in testing for unknown values. Handles ranges from 2pf to 2µf and 1µH to 10mH. Can be used with any multimeter. Calibration components included. Just put the unknown component across the terminals, switch to the appropriate range on the LC-1 and read the value on your test meter.

This handy little device will let you check low level RF voltages using any digital voltage multimeter (DVM). Ideal for signal tracing and low level fault finding in transceivers etc. Frequency range is flat from 100kHz to 1GHz. Uses microwave lo-barrier detector diodes that let you detect microwave levels! 1mW input produces 100mV DC output to meter. Comes completely assembled with hook test probe and banana plugs for multimeter.
The SA-7 broadband RF preamplifier is great for perking up old frequency counters, scanners, TVs and old short-wave receivers. Its 2-stage feedback design ensures stable operation throughout the spectrum.
The SM-100 Signal Magnetic Noise Reduction Antenna pulls weak signal out of the noise. The antenna responds only to the magnetic field of the desired station and ignores the electrostatic field where most interference is found. Designed expressly for the AM medium wave band, but can be built for any frequency range from 500kHz to 15MHz. Optional Case no longer available).

Supplied with with matching case & knob set.
The SR-2C is an ideal shortwave receiver kit for beginners. Extremely sensitive front end with AGC and RF gain control. Varactor diode tuning allows you to tune any 2MHz portion of the 4 to 11MHz frequency range. Requires an external antenna, speaker and 9V battery.
This kit is designed to invert the audio speech pattern so that it is rendered unintelligible to the casual listener. It also contains the circuitry to descramble incoming inverted speech. It achieves this by using SSB techniques at audio frequencies. The unit may be used with AM, SSB or FM transceivers. Two units together can provide a complete scrambled system. There is sufficient audio output to drive a small speaker.
Note: Cannot be legally used in the UK.
The TG-2 will decode and store any DTMF tone it hears. A simple hook-up to any radio speaker or phone line is all that is required, and it will decode digits at virtually any speed!
The bright 8-digit LED display lets you scroll through the stored numbers at your leisure. To make it easy to pick out numbers or codes, a dash is inserted between any group or set of numbers that were decoded more than 3 seconds apart. Added features from its TG1 predecessor include an onboard RJ11 phone jack for easier phone line interfacing and an output latch jack offering an external trigger source when a user specified number (1 to 60 digits!) matches the monitored input! The TG2 runs on any 8 to 15 volt DC power source and is both regulated and crystal controlled for the ultimate in stability. Includes the matching professional case set shown, measuring 5W x 1½H x 5¼D.
The TS-1 Touch Switch uses low power CMOS circuitry and functions on the principle of hum and noise pick-up when the input is touched. There are two independant Touch circuits. To activate touch the input and the electronic switch will operate. To switch it off, touch the input again. Or use it so that it operates only as long as it is touched. The touch contact may be a door knob, small coin, or small piece of veroboard. The TS-1 will drive loads up to 100mA such as relay, bell or siren etc. For switching greater loads an external relay is recommended. It can also be configured to operate as a Morse code keyer, information included in the instructions.
The TT-7 decodes any single DTMF digit 0 through to 9, *, #, plus A,B,C,D. The unit can be connected directly across a speaker or detector output on any receiver. When the decoder detects the selected digit, it provides a closure to ground, ideal for driving a relay, lamp, sounder or any other such load up to 20mA.
