MFJ's Manual Screwdriver Antenna series are continuous coverage, multiband, vertical HF antennas built for mobile (with 1.37m whip) and stationary 3m whip. The antenna is tuned by sliding the aluminium cover over the coils and tuning for minimum SWR. The antenna is made of tin plated copper wire wound around a grooved PVC core with optimum spacing for maximum Q.

All unused turns on the antenna are shorted out and completely shielded. Once tuned, a nylon tipped thumbscrew locks the cover in place to prevent movement.

Each model comes with a 1.37m and 3m telescopic whip antenna, both of which, are fitted with a 3/8in threaded stud.
