The MFJ-1924 Programmable Screwdriver Antenna Controller allows you to preprogram up to 10 tuning positions for your Screwdriver Antenna. A 4-digit super bright LED turns counter gives you precise antenna position. Manual Up/Down buttons lets you manually move the antenna to any desired position. Uses MFJ’s exclusive AutoParkTM feature which automatically bottoms your antenna for parking in your garage and resets and calibrates your counter each time to eliminate errors. MFJ’s exclusive Dead-OnStopTM feature automatically reverses the motor briefly to avoid overshoot. And to protect the motor from burn-out it is fitted with StallProtectorTM which automatically detects a motor stall and completely shuts off power to the motor.

The MFJ-1925 is easily connected, all it requires is a 12V DC source, and two 50 Ohm patch leads. One from the rig to the MFJ-1925 and one from the ATAS antenna. It is extremely important that the right connections are made as the voltage intended for the ATAS antenna could damage the rig.

The functionality as opposed to an all Yaesu system which is automatic is not quite the same as the ATAS is manually tuned by pressing the UP/DOWN button. This raises or lowers the ATAS mechanism, the button is relased when low SWR is reached.
