The MP-S is similar to the MP-817 except that it is grey instead of black and does not have a magnetic base. It can be used with most modern transceivers especially portables. It is a marvel of German engineering and craftsmanship. The paddle can be recessed in its metal case for travel, slid into the operating position (as above), or removed to make adjustments to tension and paddle travel. The non-slip feet really grip and stop wandering. It is provided with a 3.5mm stereo plug lead which can be unplugged from the rear of the keyer.
