The HFT-1500 antenna tuner from Vectronics is one of the most advanced designs ever. Constructed of high grade components including 4.5kV capacitors, it will withstand the high power outputs of amateur radio linear amplifiers. A built-in analogue meter measures power and VSWR, providing a clear indication when adjusting the matching controls. The HFT-1500 employs two variable capacitors and a roller inductor to achieve an optimum match, no matter what antenna is used. You can connect coax fed systems, balanced feed or long wires.
The SPC tuner is designed to handle high power either feeding coax or Balance line feed arrangements. This new design has wide spaced capacitors, silver plated main inductor, Jackson slow motion drives to give a silky smooth feel to the tuning. The ATU also has an instant bypass mode that can be used either with coax or a balanced feed with the Balun left in circuit. From the front panel 3 outputs can be selected- coax 1, coax 2 or balanced feed. A dummy load can be plugged into coax 1 or coax 2 for tuning purposes. The balanced line is fed from a large double toroidal type transformer, which is insulated with a special fibre glass insulating sleeving to reduce any chance of flash-over between windings. The on-board VSWR/Power meter reads 150W full scale on low, and 1500W on the high power position. A 12V DC supply is required if illumination is required for the meter.
Matchmaker lets you tune an aerial without transmitting.
This compact tuner is a low cost alternative where the main station already has a VSWR meter and just requires the bare bones tuner. It will handle all types of aerials, match coax fed systems, long wires and balanced feeders and is very simple to use.
The MFJ-902 is a fully functional 10 to 80m ATU and is based around the familiar T-match circuit. It is an ideal manual ATU for the IC-706MKIIG, FT100D and FT817 and other small rigs. Because the MFJ-902 uses real air variable capacitors (600V 322pf) and three stacked powder iron toroids it is especially designed to handle up to 150W not just QRP. This dinky ATU fits into the palm of your hand, rucksack or even your coat pocket. It is a go anywhere unit that could be the answer to those who like to take HF equipment on their travels. As with the FT817 and IC-703, it can easily be transported as hand luggage. The ATU has no VSWR meter, but most modern radios have them built-in. Adjusting the ATU is not difficult and a good match can normally be found very quickly. If you are using a fixed antenna, a note of the control settings can be made. The unit works with a wide range of antennas.
The MFJ-902H is a fully functional 10 to 80m ATU and is based around the familiar T-match circuit. It is an ideal manual ATU for the IC-706MKIIG, FT100D and FT817 and other small rigs. It includes a 4:1 balun.
The MFJ-903 for 6m is the same as the MFJ-906 but without SWR, Power meter and by-pass switch. Ideal for getting a perfect match across the entire band. This results in optimum power output
The MFJ-902 is a fully functional 10 to 80m ATU and is based around the familiar T-match circuit. It is an ideal manual ATU for the IC-706MKIIG, FT100D and FT817 and other small rigs.
The MFJ-904H is a fully functional 10 to 80m ATU and is based around the familiar T-match circuit. It is an ideal manual ATU for the IC-706MKIIG, FT100D and FT817 and other small rigs. It includes a 4:1 balun.
Help match your 6m rig to your antenna with the stylish MFJ-906. Matches most coax-fed antennas, mobile whips, dipoles, verticals, inverted V antennas, random wire and beams. There are two power settings HI and LO, also TUNE or BYPASS positions. The cross needle meter can be illuminated by using an external 12V DC 300mA supply through the power jack on the rear panel, the power on-off switch is on front panel.
The MFJ-910 Mobile Antenna Matcher improves the match between the very low impedance of a typical HF mobile antenna and the standard 50 Ohm input to the transceiver. Fit in-line between the transmitter and the antenna. Then select the switch position that offers the best VSWR. Uses the well known shunt capacity impedance matching circuit. 120, 270, 470, 1000, 1500pf
Not all automatic ATUs on rigs can match the wide range that manual ATUs can manage. The MFJ-914 has been specifically designed to rectify this problem. The MFJ-914 is a heavy duty, wide band, wide range impedance matching device, and has been very carefully designed for flattest frequency response and lowest loss.
This tuner helps you get perfect VSWR and offers some filtering at the same time. You will only get maximum power transfer if your rig is perfectly matched to the antenna load. This takes care of all your problems.
The MFJ-924 UHF tuner covers the 70cm band and has a built-in SWR/Wattmeter. It handles 200W and matches a wide range of impedances. Excellent for both base or mobile operation.
The MFJ-931 creates an artificial ground, it resonates a random length of wire thrown along the floor and produces a tuned counterpoise. This artificial ground effectively places your rig near actual ground potential; even if your rig is on the second floor or higher where no earth ground is possible. It eliminates hot spots and RF feedback created by bad earthing.
This unit combines the features of the MFJ-931 artificial earth and the MFJ-941 antenna tuner. It will match coax feeder, balanced wires or end fed wires. The cross needle meter makes matching easy. If you have problems with getting a decent earth or RF live chassis, here is the complete antenna matching problem solved, all in one box.
Designed as a low cost base station tuner, the Versa Tuner will handle coax fed systems, long wires and balanced feeders. Its slim dimensions make it a convenient and functional accessory for any modern HF ham radio station. In the Thru position, the unit acts as a simple VSWR and power meter.
Designed for mobile use, it can also be used for base station operation where coax feed systems are employed. Enables you to operate beyond the normal narrow bandwidth of most mobile antennas.
The MFJ-948 is essentially the same as the MFJ-949 except it does not have an internal dummy load and mains power adaptor.
The ideal tuner for maximum UK legal power, it covers all bands from 1.8-30MHz and will match an extremely wide range of antennas. Suitable for coax feed, balanced feed and end fed wires. A complete antenna matcher in one compact package.
The latest design from MFJ, this unit features an active power meter for really accurate PEP measurements. Powered by an internal PP3 battery (not supplied) or an external 12V source.
The MFJ-971 is the ideal QRP ATU to have on hand. It incorporates a cross needle SWR meter and displays forward or reflected power and SWR simultaneously. It has SO-239 sockets and has terminal posts for balanced lines. Its compact dimensions make it a natural QRP item.
Fully balanced 1500W Antenna Tuner with wide matching range and continuous 1.8 - 30MHz coverage including all WARC bands. It can tune any balanced line including 600 Ohm open wire, 450/300 Ohm ladder lines, 300/72 twin feeder, shield or unshielded. It can also tune random wire and coax feeders. The MFJ-976 uses a fully balanced wide-range T-Network which gives you simple, fast three knob tuning. No complicated switching between high and low impedance and switching in additional capacitance.
Four separate 500pf in two gangs gives you 2000pf for high efficiency low loss operation on 160m and you also get excellent 10m performance.
This tuner uses differential tuning to make adjustment even quicker. The original circuit was designed by W5GZM. The inductor is fitted with a turns counter making re-setting that much easier. You also get an antenna switch. Handles coax, balanced feed and end fed wires.
The new improved MFJ-989D with 1500W handling now uses the new 500pf air variable capacitors and new low loss roller inductor. It will continuously tune all frequenciesn from 1.8 through 30MHz and match dipoles, inverted vees, verticals, mobile whips, beams and random wires. It even has a built-in 300W dummy load. The new TrueActive peak reading Cross needle SWR/Power meter lets you read true power on all modes. The antenna switch selector is ceramic and the matcher will cope with coax, balanced feed and long wires.
(This replaces the MFJ-989C which is no longer available)
