A small PCB module allows the bhi noise cancellation technology to be fitted into most Icom PMR radios. Selection is by a single button normally chosen from the front panel. Noise level is set at 6, this is adjustable by links on the module.
Fitting the NNTDSP.001 requires modification to the audio path which needs to be cut. Programming software is set up to enable OPT1, on one of the assignable buttons such as P0 to P3 on the mobile or a suitable button on a handportable.
