May be used with short wave receivers or transceivers. Ideal for 'hotting' up those older receivers. Features include 20dB attenuator, tuning control, gain control, and RF sensing for transceivers up to 350W PEP. Will handle 2 receivers and 2 antennas.
Same as the MFJ-1040 but without attenuator, transceiver auto by-pass delay or PTT. This is a popular item for improving the performance of older short wave receivers.
The MFJ-1048 Passive Preselector improves the performance of nearly any SW receiver/transceiver by reducing overloads from strong nearby transmitters. Especially useful for receivers with broadband front-ends. Fitted with an RF sensing switch (max 100W) it can be linked through the T/R to a transmitter to protect sensitive receiver inputs. For receiver use only the unit is simply connected between receiver and coax antenna feed.
The MW550P preselector and active antenna matching unit for AM broadcast and 160m reception. The MW550P will match any antenna (eg. random wire, long wire etc.) to 50 Ohms across the broadcast band. The selectivity can be varied by adjusting the antenna coupling, and 4kHz bandwidth is achievable.
The WPR-2 Preselector has been specifically designed for use with scanners. Essentially scanners are wide-band receivers, their front ends are not tuned as are communication receivers, and so they are susceptible to strong signal interference. THe WPR-2 provides a sharp tuning 'peak' at the frequency of operation thereby rejecting interfering signals.
