The KAM XL is the latest All-Mode TNC from Kantronics and is built on the solid foundation of the KAM, KAM-Plus, KPC-3+ and the KPC-9612+. It looks like and emulates the industry standand KAM Plus, but with many more features.

The KPC-3 Plus is just as ideal for those starting out into packet radio, or for those with years of experience. It can be used as a 1200baud TNC with a PC and any modern VHF or UHF transceiver, or with a GPS for APRS operation with either a VHF/UHF handheld or mobile. The KPC-9612 is a true dual-port, dual-speed packet modem (TNC) used for sending and receiving data by radio. It features one 9600 baud port and one 1200 baud port, and users can communicate at both 9600 and 1200 baud at the same time. The KPC-9612 was designed to connect to either one or two radios. With both ports connected to one radio, it automatically detects the speed of the incoming data and can still transmit at 9600 baud or 1200 baud. Or it can be connected to two radios, one at each port. This way users can simultaneously transmit and receive at both baud rates, automatically. Whether connected to one radio or two, no modifications are required.
The MFJ-1270CX super TNC clone is fully TAPR TNC-2 compatible.You can upgrade with the optional 2400 or 9600 baud modem It is easily changed to KISS or MFJ host mode and fully supports X1J, NETROM, the NET and the Rose Switch. Other varients are the MFJ-1270CTX VHF/HF packet TNC including WeFAX and 2400 baud modem. MFJ-1270CQX VHF/HF packet TNC including WeFAX and 9600 baud modem.
