The HL-700B is a compact solid-state 500W linear amplifier which covers 80 to 10m including WARC. It uses 8 THP-120 power devices, which provide an output power of 600W (PEP) for a drive power of 100W maximum.

One switchable analogue meter is provided for RF power and for general metering. The HL-700B solid- state design means no tuning is necessary. An impressive array of protection circuits are incorporated for safety. With its manual power input selection it is easily connected to QRP rigs such as the IC-703 to provide respectable output power on the HF bands. A 13.8V DC power supply rated to at least for 70A is required to power this linear, or it can be run off a suitable leisure battery.
