The MFJ-818 is particularly useful for mobile/portable use as it has been specially ruggedised for this purpose.
The meter is fully enclosed in a strong aluminium case with just the buttons and sockets exposed.
The cross-needle SWR/PWR meter measures forward and reflected power and SWR simultaneously, and is designed to operate on 1.8 to 30MHz. It has two power ranges, the high power scale measures 0 to 300W forward power and 0 to 60W reflected power. The low power scale measures 0 to 30W forward power and 0 to 6W reflected power.
