The RIGrunner 10-way 13.8V DC distribution system has ten pairs of outputs in four groups - 25A, 10A, 5A and 1A, all are individually fused. Requires 13.8V DC power source either battery or 13.8V DC power supply with current rating up to 40A. Like the other RIGrunners it is fitted with Over voltage, Normal and Under voltage indicators. A major feature of this RIGrunner is the automatic or manual power switching. It uses an electronically controlled FET device to switch DC currents up to 100A. This FET switch is over current and over temperature protected, and should last indefinitely. The control switch in the RIGrunner does not carry any load, this being controlled through the FET. The control switch has three positions, ‘OFF’, ‘AUTO’ and ‘ALL ON’. In the ‘OFF’ position only the switched outlets are switched off. In the ‘AUTO’ position the switched outlets will automatically turn on whenever an adequate load is drawn from the (always on) MASTER outlet. In the ‘ALL ON position all of the switched outlets will be on regardless of what is connected to the master outlet. Other RIGrunner distribution boards include the RR/4012/C 12-way, RR/4008/C 8-way and the RR/4005/C 5-way. At last a device that can test virtually any battery whether it be Ni-Cad, Ni-MH, lead acid and more. Very useful device for anyone that uses a lot of Ni-Cad or Ni-MH batteries or for checking lead acid automotive batteries. The CBA2 is used in conjuction with a PC through the USB port to analyse the cell or battery. You can print out graphs showing the characteristics of the battery under test. Test labels can also be printed out on Avery labels. It can condition batteries by the correct charge and discharge cycle if required. Overall a very useful bit of kit for radio amateurs, service engineers, motor mechanics and labs.

The PWRgate PG40 is a simple 12V DC backup power system that can supply up to 40A continuously from either a mains PSU or battery. In other words it acts similar to an uninterruptable supply as used with computers except that the mains PSU and battery are separate.
When connected up, it means that the 12V DC mains PSU will supply the station or the rig (depending on how it is connected) until there is a mains failure, and then the PG40 will automatically switch over to the 12V battery. When the main supply is restored the rig or station will be run off the 12V DC mains PSU and the PG40 will trickle charge the battery.

The PWRgate PG40S is effectively part of a 12V DC UPS backup power system that can supply up to 40A continuously from either a 12V mains power supply or a car battery to a load. When connected to a battery and mains power supply it electrically isolates both the battery and the supply from each other and charges the battery with a high-current four-state safe battery charger. It means that the 12V DC mains PSU will supply the station or the rig (depending on how it is connected) until there is a mains failure, and then the PG40S will automatically switch the load over to the 12V car battery. When the mains supply is restored the rig or station will then run off the 12V DC mains PSU and the PG40S will intelligently charge the battery at a trickle, bulk charge, peak voltage or float charge rate depending on state of battery. Optional connector pairs (PowerPoles) are available in 15A, 30A or 45A packs 12 pairs each.
