The HF SW bands up to 30MHz, VHF and UHF TV bands and the VHF AM aircraft band are also covered. This capability enables reception of a wide range of commercial and public safety frequencies.
The VR-500 has a tough polycarbonate case designed with the active listener in mind, that will withstand the rigor of many outdoor activities. It works on 2 x AA Batteries, and a Ni-Cad battery and charger are available as options. Memory channel programming is made simple with the optional ADMS-3 Windows PC programming software kit. This enables you to create personaized frequency files that you can download direct to the receiver. The programming software kit includes a programming interface cable.
