It is possible to feed end wires with internal ATU's. Just string up a long wire, insert the balun at the end, feed with coax back to transceiver and you are away! You may need to optimise the wire length on some bands and we strongly recommend you to use an RF earth or counterpoise to avoid RF at the rig end.

The MTFT-MULTI is a magnetic balun that can be used with HF transmitters. It is not always possible to match wire antennas through ATUs especial;y those built into transceivers. These tuners only have a limited impedance matching range and cannot always find the right resonance. Some external ATU's might experience the same problem. The MTFT-MULTI acts as an impedance matching transformer. There are three tappings 4:1, 9:1 and 16:1 to choose from and so some experimentation can take place. Coax cable is required from the balun to the transceiver or ATU.
