What is a Motorola Lapel Microphone?

Thes lapel microphones are designed by Watson to enhance the performance of your Motorola handheld radio. The microphone itsels is a tiny piece of engineering that can freely hang or be clipped to the lapel, shirt pocket etc. Little bigger than a 5p piece in diameter, it encloses a high quality microphone with Press To Ralk switch and an adjustable clip. These microphones are used all over the world where convenience and low profile are important. Watson have also added a transparent accoustic tube to the 700 series so that the earpiece and audio feed extend the low profile concept.

What is a Motorola Multi 14-pin Plug?

Many modern Motorola radios use a`14 pin plug that screws onto the side of the radio. Watson have manufactured this connector so that their WAP-700 series can be used with Motorola radios. Watson quality comes at competitive prices! Don't pay more and don't settle for inferior quality.

The Motorola 2-pin Connector.

The Motorola 2-pin connector is widely used, particularly on some of the older equipment. Don;t confuse it with that used by Icom and Yaesu. The pin dimensions are different. Our Motorola products come with the dedicated Motorola connector.

Latest earpiece with acoustic channel for reception. Instead of the usual dynamic earpiece, this model uses the same technique as used on some aircraft, of channelling the audio up to the ear through an acoustic tube. Not only does it produce a clear audio but the tubing is almost invisible being made of clear plastic. At the end of the tube is a soft plastic earplug
which fits into the ear. The other end with the loudspeaker transducer is clipped to a collar as illustrated in the photo. There is a spare earplug provided, which is easily fitted to replace the original, for instance if another person wants to use the earpiece.
